The Balvenie Cask 191 Aged 50 Years
On the 6th September 2002 our last cask from the 1950s, Cask 191, was emptied for bottling and only 83 bottles of precious liquid were forthcoming at a strength of 45.1% abv ~ the smallest ever release of The Balvenie.
The Balvenie Founder's Reserve Aged 10 Years
The Balvenie Founder’s Reserve is a classic 10 year old single malt Scotch whisky which was created by The Balvenie Malt Master, David Stewart, from a marriage of The Balvenie single malt matured in bourbon casks with that matured in sherry casks, or butts.
The Balvenie IslayCask Aged 17 Years
In the making of The Balvenie IslayCask, David Stewart selected Balvenie single malt which had matured in traditional oak casks for at least 17 years and transferred it into 94 casks which had previously held Islay single malt.
The Balvenie Madeira Cask Aged 17 Years
The Balvenie Madeira Cask was aged exclusively in traditional American oak whisky casks before being transferred to barrels previously used in the production of fortified Madeira wine.
The Balvenie New Oak Aged 17 Years
In 2006 The Balvenie Malt Master, David Stewart, crafted a second Balvenie release by using casks coopered from American white oak which were toasted then charred and unusually had never previously held any liquid.
The Balvenie New Wood Aged 17 Years
In 2005 The Balvenie Malt Master, David Stewart, crafted a new expression, The Balvenie NewWood Single Malt Scotch Whisky, by using casks coopered from American white oak which were toasted then charred and unusually, had never previously held any liquid.
The Balvenie PortWood 1993 Aged 13 years
To create this single malt, Balvenie matured in traditional oak casks since 1993 was transferred for a final period of maturation in port pipes.
The Balvenie Roasted Malt Aged 14 Years
In 2006 we bottled The Balvenie Roasted Malt, the first single malt Scotch whisky to be made using a batch of dark roasted malted barley, more commonly used in the production of stout.
The Balvenie RumWood Aged 14 Years
A limited edition bottling in 2006, The Balvenie RumWood spent its final 18 months of maturation in 14 casks which had previous held rum from Guyana and Venezuela.
The Balvenie RumCask Aged 17 Years
The Balvenie RumCask 17 Year Old was matured in traditional oak casks before spending a second period of maturation in rum casks shipped from Jamaica.
The Balvenie Single Barrel Aged 25 Years
Like its 15 year old counterpart, The Balvenie Single Barrel 25 year old was the product of individually bottled traditional whisky oak casks ~ these ones having spent a further decade in our warehouses.
