At The Balvenie we stay true to the old ways of doing things, using whisky-making methods and techniques perfected over generations. Each of our Scotches is unique, but all are rich, luxuriously smooth and underpinned by a distinctive honeyed character.
For lovers of true craftsmanship. Sweet honey and cinnamon. The Balvenie DoubleWood gains its distinctive character from being matured in two different wood types. Each stage lends different qualities to the resulting single malt whisky.
For lovers of smoothness. Vanilla, oak, and fruit. The Balvenie Caribbean Cask 14 year old single malt whisky has been matured in traditional oak whisky casks for 14 years, and then ‘finished’ in casks that previously held Caribbean rum.
For lovers of decadence. Toffee, almond, and dried fruit. The DoubleWood 17 year old has honeyed, spicy characteristics - with deeper vanilla notes, hints of green apple, creamy toffee and a striking richness and complexity.
For lovers of Barolo, Bordeaux, and Napa cabs. Plum, honey, and spice. Considered by many to be David’s finest creation, this whisky is one of his proudest achievements and has won an array of highly coveted industry awards since its release in 1996.
